Window Gallery seeks curators to contribute to running our onsite and online programmes beginning in late January, 2024.
We are seeking two curators to assist in planning and executing the onsite and online programme alongside supporting and showcasing ambitious and engaging projects through our platforms and events.
The position is voluntary, entailing between 4–10 hours of curatorial and administrative work per week. Work will be carried out remotely and occasionally onsite. Successful applicants will be passionate, well organised, and excellent at working collaboratively.
This a great position for graduate or early-career professionals looking to gain experience in curating or to expand a pre-existing artistic or curatorial practice.
Role description
We are seeking those competent (or interested in learning) in the following areas:
Curatorial
- Active engagement with the local art community
- Strong writing ability
- Understand aspects of exhibition and installation processes
Administrative
- Proactive planning and management skills
- Ability to network and promote upcoming shows
- Sensitivity to working within a larger institutional context
- Design skills and/or competence in web development
- Email and social media maintenance
