Abigail Aroha Jensen’s The Poultry Yard is presented at Robert Heald Gallery from 6–29 August 2026. Based in Kirikiriroa Hamilton, Jensen works across painting, sound and installation, with a practice grounded in whakapapa and attentive to the ways objects, materials and knowledge carry meaning between people, places and histories. Recent projects have explored ideas of papahou, taonga pūoro, gathering and exchange, often bringing found and everyday materials into dialogue with customary knowledge and contemporary experience.

The Poultry Yard follows a significant period for Jensen, including Frog World at Te Tuhi in 2026 and a 2025 residency at Gasworks in London.
