Treasures in the Landscape

14 December 2024 – 4 May 2025
From 14 December 2024 to 4 May 2025, a careful selection of twenty-five major works from The Arts House Trust collection finds a temporary home within the inspiring landscape of The Sculpture Park at Waitakaruru Arboretum. Many of the sculptures have not been seen by the public in years, and this exhibition offers a rare opportunity to encounter some of Aotearoa New Zealand’s best sculptors and the rich legacy they leave behind. The exhibition has been installed in the Rock Garden and its surrounds, right at the heart of the park. Every sculpture has found a place to shine individually, as well as telling an inspiring story together. The exhibition is a feast for the eye and the soul, a starting point for great discussions as well as an opportunity to experience a moment of quiet contemplation. Treasures in the Landscape is a truly engaging Art-in-Nature experience for young and for old and anyone in between.
