Lisa Walker presents an exhibition of new work alongside the launch of her book You Are My Starship at Hamish McKay in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington. The exhibition brings together works from 2025 and 2026, incorporating an eclectic range of materials, from linen, cotton fabric, thread and stuffing to acrylic paint and stones including jasper, agate, hematite and garnet. Works bearing titles such as Doublebun, Plaited Hair as Head and Scarf, Extended Hair, Bigmouth with Desert Stones and Beads as Drawing as Head offer a glimpse into the breadth of materials and forms represented in the exhibition.
