Position Overview:
ICCA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Manager for our Digital Publications Project. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and execution of our digital publishing initiatives, ensuring that Indigenous perspectives, copyright considerations, and Indigenous ways of knowing are thoughtfully integrated into the process. The Program Manager will work closely with Indigenous editors, artists, curators, and writers, maintaining the project’s alignment with ICCA’s values and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and management of ICCA’s digital publication initiatives.
- Collaborate with Indigenous editors, artists, curators, and writers to ensure that Indigenous voices and ways of knowing are centered in the publication process.
- Manage the copyright and intellectual property aspects of the digital publications, ensuring proper permissions and attributions are obtained.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the digital publishing platform, ensuring user-friendly navigation and accessibility.
- Work closely with contributors to ensure timely submission of content and provide guidance on digital content creation.
- Coordinate the editing, formatting, and design processes, maintaining a cohesive and engaging digital publication.
- Collaborate with the Communications Coordinator to promote and disseminate the digital publications effectively.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
- Support Indigenous-led capacity-building initiatives, workshops, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Collaborate with ICCA’s team, including remote work and participation in virtual meetings.
- Attend in-person meetings and events, including potential travel, as required.
Job Details
Contract Duration: Two years, with a review after 6 months and 12 months. Maximum 27 hours per week.
Salary: Up to $55,000 USD per year, including employment-related costs.
